Long before the word "sustainability" became a trend, Unico Graber paid close attention to these issues. Our immediate environment and regional roots have always been — and remain — important to us.
Whenever possible, we work with business partners from the region. This shortens distances and means we can address projects and topics together at short notice — enabling an optimised use of resources.
Despite our location in the three-country corner (CH/D/F), it goes without saying that our country subsidiaries don't take advantage of potentially cheaper neighbours: in Germany, German craftsmen work for us; in Switzerland, Swiss companies and craftsmen. Without exception.

Resource stewardship matters to us. Through UNICOrecycling we collect used eye-protection items and, whenever possible, channel them into recycling. The sorting is handled by the company "Recycling-Boy", which works with people with disabilities.

When we founded Unico Graber GmbH in Lörrach in 2015, we entrusted the complete assembly and packaging of our products to a team of people with disabilities. Led by Stephanie Sänger, the team works precisely, with great drive — and is today an integral part of Unico Graber.

The Hope21 association supports parents after a Down syndrome diagnosis and shows that life with Trisomy 21 is profoundly worth living. For years we have foregone Christmas gifts and greeting cards — the saved budget flows into regional projects like this.

For decades we have collaborated with the Dietisberg print shop on customisation work — for example, printing customer logos. The print shop specialises in supporting and employing men with a wide range of disabilities.
